The Fugitive DVD: What else, used the train wreck scene, followed by a bright scene at the wreck site with TL Jones. This titles seemed to suffer from grain and a very dark picture, images seemed overly washed away in blacks. Faces appeared somewhat flush in the bright scene. No video noise or artifacts. Fugitive LD: Very similar to the dvd. Over saturation of blacks in the wreck scene, bright scene had pale flesh tones. Near flawless images, no video noise present as previous titles suffered from. An almost dead on twin to the DVD. Conclusion: These look nearly identical. Overall quality is, well, ok, but nothing substantial. The framing on the DVD produced a broader image than the LD, TL Jones' face looked too long. LD has a far better presentation in that department, there was a noticable difference in the framing of the two versions. Colors were very, very slightly richer on the DVD version. Not much better though. Tough to distingiush the two. More as they arrive...
