01/31 A demo CD of Rayman has surfaced in some stores. Only the first level is playable, the price is $5.99. Money will be refunded if you buy the game. (And that marks the end of an incredibly slow month!)

01/22 According to the Japanese newspaper "Journal of Industry" today, and other sources, Square has signed as a developer for the PlayStation. Yes, the FINAL FANTASY series might be coming to the PS afterall! No titles were mentioned, but at least one title will be released in Japan this year. Talks confirmed by Squaresoft US. YES!!

02/24 Contrary to earlier reports by several sources, Duke Nukem 3D will not be released on the PlayStation by ASCII. This doesn't mean it won't make it to the PS, just that ASCII won't be doing it. No further info at this point.

09/24 SCEA announced today that 15 PS games have sold more than 250,000 copies in the US, with 10 more to follow before years end. Resident Evil and Tekken 2 are leading the pack with over 450,000 copies each sold so far. (Tekken 2 in only 3 weeks!) Shipments of the PS has topped 7.2 million worldwide!

Capcom has entered an agreement with a German production company to make: Bio Hazard: The Movie (Resident Evil.) It is set for release in Japan at the end of 1997, and the production cost is estimated at $18+ million. Capcom will provide some of the computer animation.
