Allied General
PlayStation Review from the Net

If you like wargames in-between all your racing frenzies (WOXL/F1),
then by all means, pick this baby up. It will consume hours and hours
of your time and it is just as intense as any other "best" games out
there! :)

Graphics: 6/10
If you have seen Panzer General, you have seen Allied General. Good,
clean, nothing awe-inspiring. The units look like little units you
used to play when you are a kid and it is detailed. I like it.

Sound: 6/10
If you have heard PG, you have heard AG. Again, good, clean, but
nothing special. Each unit has its own movement sounds, but I think
they are explode the same aurally! :)

Gameplay: 9/10
AI seems to be very competent and contains all the same options as in
PG. It kicks my ass. I was able to do the first scenario without
reading the manual (practically the same commands as in PG) but the 2nd
scenario, I am having a little trouble with it.

Overall: 8.5/10
Gameplay is everything in a wargame and Allied General has it in
spades. I really like it. I have not encounter any bugs or anything
so I am basing my opinions based upon several hours of gameplay and my
past experience of Panzer General.

If you like PG, you should pick this up without hestitation. There is
an awesome FAQ in one of the wargame website and contains valuable
information on this game. Btw, each save game takes 3 slots (up to 4
save games on 1 memory card).

Hope you enjoy this brief review. I passed up WOXL and F1 and other
fine titles for this game, crazy huh?
