Jet Moto 2
Review from the Net
Publisher: Sony Developer: Single Trac 1 or 2 player(s) Racing Jet Moto fans rejoice! The sequel to SingleTrac's top-selling jetbike game is finally here and it delivers more of the same type of action. This time, however, the handling is much improved, the physics are even more over-the-top (you can get some seriously air time), and the game is simply more playable. It's also load with codes which will be described later which I found during many hours of play. The Tracks are much more harder. In the long run you won't get bored with it because there is also something to master. The track design it really mind-blowing in some cases. (9) Graphically, Jet Moto 2 is impressive. There are 10 tracks in all, and each one sports plenty of hills, jumps, twists, tunnels and turns. The detail for the bikes is improved. There is a new turbo feature which you can control how much or how little you want. You are given a certain amount to use per lap just like before, except you can give some two short blast or a few long ones to catch some air. The physics make the really fun. The twisting tracks have all sorts of banks, ruts and jumps, and racing is highly exciting as a consequence of that. The bike flies about everywhere, and thanks to much improved control over the original title. There are some tracks like "rollercide" which has you go up and down a roller coaster track (real air time). (9) Sound effect are about the same as the original. However you get much more variety for each track. The music really sets the mood for the different tracks. A good example is After Shock (post-earthquake Los Angeles) the music reminds me of jet skiing with you buds in the middle of summer (sense of freedom). I will not give it away but the music for the last track is fabulous!! a real musical clash, yet it also gives the tone of intensity when the action requires more of you skills. (10) Replay value big time. How can you get bored with this came just look at the possible codes and think of the many combinations. Here the possible codes you can get if you come in first. Keep in mind you have to work for these code to get access, but once you do look out. 1. Upside down code- Everything is the same except that you are racing upside down (It's like you turning your TV upside down) (COOL) 2. Frame code- You and your bike are normal except your soundings( terrain) are all made with lines. (different) 3. TV Cam code- It is just like you are watching someone else on TV except you are doing everything live (A little difficult at times to see where you are, but is sure is neat to see) 4. Remote code- I haven't figured it out yet. 5. **** All the original tracks!!!- That is right. To access the alternative track - During screen where it shows you all the new tracks , all you have to do is press on the Circle button on a track, it will turnover to reveal an original jet moto track. So jet go along an flip over the ones you like. That simple no more switching disc because you enjoyed Nightmare. This allow some serious tournaments. 6. It has all the other codes from the original like- Unlimited turbo, unlimited grapple, super agility, zero resistance, ice racing. (9.5) Overall: If you like the first one pick up the second one. If you haven't try it go get it. This game rules. You get also of value for you money with Jet Moto 2. For myself the last track (Nebulous) is the most original track I have ever play for the playstation and I played a lot of games. It's worth it just for that one track alone. garys
