Moto Racer
Review from the Net

Moto Racer

Publisher: Electronic Arts
Developer: Delphine
 Racing 1 or 2 players

Moto Racer takes the high speed action of motorcycle racing in a
detailed 3D arcade environment. There are two different types of racing
within 10 varied tracks ranging from the street racing type tracks to
the high jumping dirt tracks of motocross racing. Once in the air after
jumping off of a hill or mound the player can perform a trick to show
off his skills. There is 2 player split screen and the standard three
types of races ranging from the championship to the single race and the
always cool practice mode against the clock. The level design in the
game is superb as is apparent in the "Great Wall" track which pits you
against the other racers atop a simulated Great Wall Of China.

	(9) Graphically, this game doesn't look as good as its 3Dfx
enhanced counterpart, but taken strictly on its PlayStation merits,
this game looks really good. However, the gameplay does have some minor
flaws. For example, the driving physics I found just a little too
sensitive. In fact, I found myself throwing my controller a few times
simply because the turning was a little too accurate. This game needs
power slides. You can choose between different view point. First person
is a blast especially on the motocross racing - it's as real as I would
want to get it's that good. What I really like is when you are going at
max certain parts of the track like in moto racing, your bike would
look like it's vibrating (good sense of realism)

(8.5) Sound: Here is where the game falters the most. The sound and
music in the game are repetitive and very boring. The music fails to
capture the spirit of the fast paced racing style and the constant
buzzing of the motorcycle's engine becomes irritating and annoying. Too
bad they could not incorporate music like Bush "machine head" or Judas
Priest " turbo lover" wow just imagine that combination in a game.

(8.5) Replay value: Good variety of tracks. Once you have finished
first in the races you are able to try riding the tracks in reverse.

(8.5) Overall: Moto Racer is a fabulous game that incorporate some good
variety in dirt biking and moto racing. You will get a great
sense/appreciation for the people who actually do this kind of thing
for a living- what a rush
