Namco Museum Volume 2
Review from the Net

Today, I called EB, and they had Namco Mueseum Vol. 2 in. YES!

Gaplus - this is the real sequel to Galaga. I never played this in the
arcade, but I've heard about it. NICE game! I like how you can capture
upto six ship w/ the tractor beam, and use them against the bugs! Much
harder than Galaga, but I like it.

Xevious - FINALLY! A REAL (well it IS the real thing) version of this
classic shooter! This I think is the first horizontal scrolling
shooter, w/ varied terrain/areas. This is one of the more well-known
games on the disc.

Mappy - this another well known game on the disc. VERY frustrating at
first, until you figure out the gameplay, then it's a BLAST!

Super Pac-Man - Instead of Cutie Q, we get this on the US disc. Sounds
VERY fair to me! I believe this is the FIRST 'super' of ANY game, sans
Superman for the 2600. Very cool. Eat keys to gain access to fruit
(instead of dots) and power pills. The blue pills make you into Super
Pac-Man, in which you'll have the ability to move over doors! AWESOME
fun!

I saw this game only once. It's a precursor to Rastan (wouldn't a Taito
disc be cool? Rastan, Arkanoid, Space Invaders, and some others on
it?). Pretty fun game actually. You jump around, climb vines, and
slash at stuff w/ your sword. Also, you pick up magic scrolls after you
defeat certain enemies.

Grobda - I never saw this game in the 'cade. I thought this was gonna
be a stinker, but you know what, I like it! Picture Combat against the
computer (you could only play 2p in Combat), with lasers, and missile
command style explosions, and you got Grobda! Fun game!

One little tidbit: When you pause the game, in any game, you can select
artwork by pressing the pad left and right.

Bottom line: if you liked video games when these were in the arcades,
then you will LOVE this cd!!! If you are younger, you may not like it.
Rent it if you're younger first. But I (25 years old) feel that the
49.99 I spent on these is a bargain. When I was young, owning a PERFECT
any of these, was a DREAM. I can't wait for the 3,4, and 5 to be
released. I just wish other companies would see the $$$ they are
missing out on, and start making discs like these. These ARE history.

If you got any Qs, just email me!
