The game by the way supports 1-4 players with the Playstation Tap which
should be available soon (not to be confused with the Combat Cable). I
played it today - it's amazingly smooth, controllable, and
arcade-perfect.
The ball on fire looks great, and the amount of added, sharp sounds is
a plus - you even hear the player's names being announced as the ball
is passed to them. The players smoothly scale as they move to the outer
parts of the court (large close up - smaller away). The box states
there are "all new hidden players" and extra features beyond the
arcade. There's a lot more commentary, and the audience looks so
realistic as they cheer the players on. To put it quite frankly, it
demolishes the 16-bit version - down to the title page. :)
An excellent adaptation from Acclaim, and probably one of their best to
date! Now to see how Wrestlemania turns out which is also due in
shortly. I wish I had more time to play today - but I barely had time
to even eat.
NOTE: Players with Japanese systems using the "swap" method will not
get the musical score. All sounds are present, the music however does
not work.
