NBA Jam T.E.
Review from the Net
So far, I think the game is great, although there are some rough edges. It seems to play very well, except for one thing. The computer opponents seem to be VERY difficult to beat! They steal the ball and grab rebounds with a MUCH greater frequency than the arcade or other home versions. After a few games, my scores are getting better, but I still can't beat the computer even on the easiest setting. (Getting close, though. :) ) The graphics are colorful and have great scaling effects. The game seems to use all of the actual players' heads in the game. The full-motion video at halftime and at the end is very clean, too. I don't have a memory card yet, so I can't save stats. I hope to get one soon--I'm sick of playing the Mavericks. By the way, the voice in the game is superb. Some samples seem to repeat more often than they should, but overall it seems to have the most variety of any home version, and that's before you consider the inclusion of vocal names! Yes, the voice announcer is happy to call your favorite NBA superstars by name! So far, I'm enjoying this game (even though I haven't won any of four games yet...hopefully that will change very soon). I would recommend that you give it a try! -- Sal Manfredonia (hysteria@gti.net) "Your influence counts...USE IT!" -- Bob Grant
