Novastorm
Review from the Net
After brilliant titles such as Wipeout and Destruction Derby Psygnosis really struck out with this one! Novastorm is a perfect example of the fact well known "graphics alone doesnīt make a game". Novastorm is easiliest described as a Microcosm type of game. You simply fly trough a "film" and shoot everything in sight. The background is fancy all right, but Novastorm suffers the same lack of gameplay as the two year old Sega CD Microcosm did. The only plus compared with the Sega game, besides the music, is that you actually can crash with the background. The spacecraft you manover blends in with the filmsecvenses as well as John Goodman as a lifeguard in Baywatch. - Not at all that is! It kind of feels like you are playing with a refridgerator magnet on the TV. As usual when it comes to Interactive games, you never control the background, only your magnet lookalike. Itīs sad, but still after some years Super Nintendos Starfox is the best game in this genere. 3/10 (European version) Gunner (Active)
