Tekken 2
PlayStation Review from the Net

This was mailed to me, and I thought I would post it for the rest of you guys...

} First off, I would like to thank you for taking the time to give first
} impressions of Tekken2 in rgv.sony. I am as excited as ever to get this
} game after reading your post. I do have a few questions though...
}
} 1.Is there still a light source effect on the characters?

Yes. In fact, Namco took advantage of some PlayStation capabilities that don't appear
on the System 11 to IMPROVE the light sourcing. It looks better!

} 2.I heard Namco had to leave out some of the individual "sparkles". Does
} Kuma still make claw marks when he connects with an attack? Do ROger/Alex
} still make those little diamonds appear on counter hits?

They didn't leave it out at all! It is ALL there!

} 3.Speaking of Kuma, Do the polygons disapear when fighting Kuma Vs. Kuma?

I will tell you as soon as I try it out... =)

} 4.Is there FMV endings for EVERY character?

YES! Even the bosses!!!

} 5.I noticed you couldn't find Kazuya. Do the secret codes from the arcade
} game still work? Try moving the cursor to Heihachi in the character
} selection screen in Aracde mode. Press Down,Up,let the joystick into
} Nuetral posistion,Press and Hold UP, while holding up- press start,
} start, let go of up, and then press up again. If this works, can you save
} the sub-boss to the memory card after doing the code so you dont have to
} keep doing it?

I found all of the characters now. I just played through the game with everybody, and
Kazuya, Devil/Angel, and Roger/Alex showed up.

} 6.Can the two players select a different amount of characters in Team
} Mode? (ie 4 char.s Vs. 2 char.s)

Between 1 and 8.

} 7.Are all the options from Tekken1 back? ex Character usage chart,
} reassigning buttons etc...

Yup. They are all there.

} 8.Can you change the: damage inflicted? Time limit? # of rounds? Anything
} else?

Yes, Yes, Yes, No.

} 9.When you play for the first time, who is selectable ; Jun or Baek?

Both.

} 10.Does Survivor Mode look really, really Hard? :)

Not when you are as good as me... :P

} 11.Does this game run at 60 Frames per second like the arcade version?

Yes.

} 12.Anything stand out about the practice mode?

Other than the fact that it is the best feature in the game, it has a bunch of options.
1. Attack Data: Combo Meter/Damage meter. Also displays total damage
inflicted in a combo.
2. Counter Attacks:	Shows when a move/ten-hit can be countered.
3. Replay Settings:	Set the game to replay anytime you do a combo. You can
determine how many hits a combo must have to replay -- 3, 4, 5, 6, or auto.
4. Key Display: Set this displays every button and/or D-Pad press down
at the bottom of the screen, or one of the characters ten hit combos. Also -- you can
press select with the ten hit visible and the computer will auto execute it for you.
Even better -- you can set the computer so it executes the ten hit, and you can
practice blocking!
5. Command List:	Displays ALL of you character's moves!

} 13.Does this game play exatly like the arcade? -pretty general, huh? :)

Exactly.
