Viewpoint
Review from the Net
OK, after having played Viewpoint for a couple days this is what I have
arrived at.
BASICS
------
- Viewpoint is a one player shooter
- there is a 3 letter password save feature
- Viewpoint has 6 levels
GOOD
----
- nice graphics and colors (SGI enemies)
- nice beginning intro
- music is pretty good
- this version is more forgiving than the NEO version
- nice SGI cut-scenes between levels
BAD
---
- only a single player game (should have been 2 player simultaneous)
- load times - yeck!
- power-ups are far and few
- gummy control (ship feels like it's sticking)
- the screen jerks at times as it scrolls (herky-jerky)
- music delay each time you begin
FINAL
-----
The improved graphics aren't enough to warrant purchase if you already
own the Neo version. I don't think that the control is enough to shoot
this title down, but the lack of a two player option comes close. This
title is still cool/interesting and has nice touches to it (SGI stuff),
but should be rented first.
Graphics = 8.5
Music/Sound = 7.5
Game play = 6
Total = 7
