Interactive CD Sampler Pack, Volume One

Finally, what we have been waiting for. Sony has started making CD sampler packs. And from the "Volume One" part of the title, we can gather that more will be made in the year ahead.

After the standard PS boot, and Copyright messages, you're thrown into this TV commercial type FMV preview. "You R not (red)e, Saturn bites, Transmission ended", you know the drill. It then shows FMV clips from the games featured on the disc. Menu is like on the first disc, scroll left or right, but FMV is shown on some titles before you choose to play.

This is the new pack-in CD. You can order it directly from Sony at 1-800-488-SONY (7669). The price is $3.95 + shipping and applicable sales tax.

Playable Loaded One playable character, Mamma. 1 player only. 1 level, The Prison. Game over returns you to Loaded menu, ie. you don't have to reload the whole game.

MK3 Sonya and Kano are playable. Choose between The Street or The Subway. You will play against one or both (3 rounds max). Friendship etc. enabled. Game over returns you to Main Demo menu.

Warhawk Play 1st level, the Pyramid. NO FMV when all towers are destroyed. Game over returns you to Main Demo menu.

Twisted Metal 1 or 2 players. Choose from all characters/vehicles. 1st level. Game over returns you to Main Demo menu.

Wipeout Same demo as on previous Demo CD. One lap of first circuit. Then returns to Main Demo menu.

Video only NFL Gameday 90 seconds of intro FMV. 90 seconds of actual gameplay.

Demolition Derby 60 seconds. Mainly from bowl, stills from other parts of the game.

NHL Face-Off 30 seconds. FMV only, no gameplay is shown.

Descent 20 seconds. Actual gameplay.
